Financial Literacy workshop at Gonasika College, Keonjhar

Abhyutthana School of Financial Inclusion, Resource and Education ( ASFIRE) – a wing of AFLC, organised Workshop on Financial Literacy in Gonasika College, Keonjhar 220 kms from Bhubaneswar, on 28 October 2017.

The workshop was inaugurated by Dr S C Khattoi, the Trustee of Gonasika Education Trust. Smt Rajasree Khattoi, Chairperson of the Trust welcomed the guests.
The workshop was conducted by D.Mishra, Managing Partner, AFLC , S Choudhury, former General Manager, RBI and Smt Basanti Rath, Secretary, Banking Ombudsman Office, RBI , Bhubaneswar.

The speakers explained the need for savings, investments, Government policy on Financial Education, Basics of banking, KYC norms, Credit Culture, Digital banking, cyber frauds, SACHET , Grievance Redressal system and Role of Banking Ombudsman Scheme.

A financial Quiz was conducted by Shri Choudhury. Financial Education Series books published by RBI were given as prize to 15 students.
In all, around 200 students, teaching staff participated in the workshop.
