Workshop on IAP under SEBI-IPEF

The Trust organized a workshop on Investor Awareness Programme under the aegis of SEBI-IPEF at At-Manatira village, Danagadi Block , District- Jajpur on 21st April 2022 for the SHG Members. The place is located 125 km from Bhubaneswar. The topic of the workshop was “Overview of securities market- Basics of Securities Market and Investment Opportunities.” The objective of the workshop was to sensitise the SHG members about securities market transactions and create general awareness.

1. Debaraj Mishra, former AGM, State Bank of India explained the savings and investment avenues available in the banking and securities market. He emphasized that the public should not put their hard earned money/ surplus funds with Chit Funds and under Ponzi Schemes. He also explained prudent use of digital banking, use of Rupay Cards and ATM card. He briefly touched upon the Grievance Redressal system in banking, capital market in digital transactions.

2. Shri P K Swain former Senior Manager, State Bank of India advised the participants to be prudent investors. He explained about the insurance schemes of the Government viz, PM Jeevan Suraksha Beema Yojana , Atal Pension Yojana, Sukanya Samrudhi Yojana . 

The workshop was conducted as per SEBI guidelines. In all, 68 SHG members participated with great enthusiasm

At Sri Sri Gyan Mandir, Manglpur, Bisoi, 8 April 2022

Abhyuthana Foundation Charitable Trust- an Investor Association organized a workshop on Investor Awareness Programme  under the aegis of  SEBI-IPEF at Sri Sri Gyan Mandir Campus, Mangalpur , Bisoi, Dist Mayurbhanj on 8 April  2022 for the public and senior citizens. The place is located 290 kms from Bhubaneswar. The topic of the workshop was “Overview of securities market- Basics of Securities Market and Investment Opportunities.”  The objective of the workshop was to  sensitise the members of public, parents of the school about basics of securities market transactions and create a general awareness on savings and investment.. 

At the outset, Shri Pramod Ram, Co-ordinator of the School welcomed the participants, speakers and briefly outlined the need of such financial / investor awareness programmes.

Dasarathi Mishra, Managing Trustee of the Association explained the savings and investment avenues available in banking and securities market. He emphasized that the public should not put their hard earned money/ surplus funds with Chit Funds and under Ponzi Schemes. He briefly explained the important role of SEBI in regulating the environment of investment in general and securities market in particular. He also explained prudent use of digital banking, use of Rupay Cards and ATM card.  He briefly touched upon  the Grievance Redressal system in banking, capital market in digital transactions.

Workshop on Securities Market- Basics of Investment

22 February 2022

The  Trust- organized a workshop on Investor Awareness Programme under the aegis of SEBI-IPEF at Village Nachhipur, Dist.-Cuttack on 22 February 2022 for the SHG beneficiaries. The topic of the workshop was “Overview of securities market- Basics of Investment”. The objective of the webinar was to sensitize the members of women Self Help Groups of the area bout securities market transactions.

Sri K C Patra, Former Chief Manager of Indian Bank who hails from Nachhipur welcomed the audience, guests and introduced the guest speakers.

Shri Debaraja Mishra., former Asst General Manager, SBI explained the securities market and safe investment habits . He also explained about the investments in Mutual Funds. He explained the prudent use of digital banking, proper use of Rupay Cards, and micro-insurance schemes of the Government of India.

Shri Dasarathi Mishra Managing Trustee outlined the role of SEBI in laying down guidelines for ensuring safe security and investment environment.

Shri P. K. Swain former Senior Manager, SBI discussed about the detailed procedure for operating SHG loan accounts for reaping the maximum benefits of bank loan as also liberal interest subvention schemes. He also highlighted the importance of the benefits of nomination in a bank account.

Shri Siladitya Choudhury, Trustee, advised the participants to avoid investments in chit-funds and Ponzi Schemes. He advised participants to cautiously use digital banking. Mr. Choudhury explained the grievance redressal system in the banking and securities market.

In the workshop, 76 persons participated. The Programme was well coordinated by Shri PK Swain, Shri Patra, and Shri Nihar Nayak.
