State level Conclave on Financial Literacy and Financial Inclusion

Odisha Financial Literacy Forum, promoted by Abhyutthana Financial Learning Centre LLP (AFLC) is going to organize a State level Conclave on Financial Literacy and Financial Inclusion on 10^th March 2018 at Jayadev Bhawan, Bhubaneswar. The daylong conclave is set to deliberate on ‘Emerging Challenges and opportunities for Investors & Institutions.’

The inaugural session of the conclave will be attended by Shri Prafulla Samal, Hon’ble Minister, MSME, Govt. of Odisha as Chief Guest, while the Guests of Honour will be Prashant Saran, former Whole-Time Member, SEBI, Dr. Sandip Ghose, Director, NISM, Mumbai, P. Krishnamurthy, former CGM, RBI, Dr. K. C. Mishra, Director, Doha Bank, Dr. K. C. Panigrahi, CGM, NABARD, Bhubaneswar and Manabendra Mishra, GM (OIC) RBI, Bhubaneswar, among other dignitaries.

“To empower society through financial literacy with special emphasis on youth, women and small income groups is AFLC’s vision” said Dasarathi Mishra, Founder and Managing Partner, AFLC.

The organization has set itself a mission to impart financial knowledge to general public, youth and MSME Customers on basic concepts of Finance, banking, Non Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs), Capital Market, Insurance and Pension Products and to create Financial Awareness among depositors and investors.

The present conclave is focused on ‘Emerging Challenges and opportunities for Investors & Institutions’. The conference is set to be attended by leading brains of financial sector, Banking Sector Officials, Academia, Insurance, Mutual Funds experts, MSME Entrepreneurs, Delegates and students from reputed B Schools.

“The conclave holds prominence in the backdrop of the National Strategy for Financial Education of Government of India, 2009 which stresses the need on financial education for furthering financial inclusion and inclusive growth. It’s a step further in our endeavor to impart financial education to people and safeguards against fraudulent policies and schemes”, Shri Mishra added.

AFLC was founded in February 2014 by Mr. Dasarathi Mishra. He is the former Chief General Manager of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) with over 35 years of experience in International banking and Regulations, Foreign Exchange Business, NBFCs, and Central Banking Activities to name a few.

In the past, AFLC has organized a series of talks and seminars having eminent speakers talking about a range of aspects of financial literacy and financial inclusion at state level as well as in institutions across Odisha.
